Our dedicated, experienced staff deliver high-quality teaching across all learning areas. We place a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy, and students benefit from specialist teachers in Physical Education, French, Visual Arts, Drama, Music, and Science. With a robust Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program from Year 4, students use digital tools to become confident, lifelong learners.

Enrichment opportunities abound through programs like PEAC (Primary Extension and Challenge) and the School of Instrumental Music, offering classical guitar, clarinet, viola, and violin. Our inclusive school culture is underpinned by strong partnerships with families, the School Board, and a proactive P&C, ensuring a whole-community approach to education.

We promote a positive behaviour culture based on our core values of Integrity, Diversity, Achievement, and Growth. These values support academic excellence and student wellbeing, enhanced by pastoral programs led by our School Chaplain, including Seasons and In Real Life.

Applecross Primary School also proudly honours the rich Aboriginal history of the area. Working with local Elders, we have restored bushland on our grounds, including culturally significant scar trees, fostering a respectful connection to Country and First Nations heritage.

A Diverse and Inclusive Community

Applecross Primary reflects a rich and growing cultural diversity. It's common to hear students speaking Russian, Chinese, Arabic, Persian, Indonesian, Malaysian, or French, alongside Australian English.
